Econ Or iPhone, 3Q U.S. Android/Blackberry Sales Flattish

The three largest U.S. wireless providers sold an estimated 9.3 million non-iPhone smartphones in the third quarter, compared to 4.7 million iPhones. As people waited for the iPhone 4S, sales of Android, Blackberry and other smartphones declined year over year, implying some customers were waiting to switch.

Nokia’s New Windows Phones Pricey, “Worryingly Uncompetitive”
